Windows 7 jumplist and taskbar preview

Description

Sorry for my English. Windows 7 is released, think it necessary to add support jumplists (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/jump-lists). You can add a shortcut to the program options, switching mode "On top", etc. The forum site www.thevista.ru (http://www.thevista.ru/forums.php?m=posts&q=14776) have a list of programs that support new features in Windows 7 taskbar. Also it would be nice to add a Thumbnail-GUI (let's call it so) with control buttons, progress bar, and for example, volume control. WMP12 has it, but without a progress bar and volume control (only buttons). (http://s44.radikal.ru/i103/0910/b9/baba54324e11.jpg)

Jumplist is not available yet.
Thou as of r1423 we have support for Windows 7 taskbar and thumbnails features, like Progress bar, Status Icon, Toolbar control(buttons).

Is the Jumplist Feature planned or already dropped?

Replying to prinzeugen:

I don't think it is dropped, it's just that there are not enough devs working on the project.

Hello aleksoid,
i think a jumplist with the latest used recent files like as in WMP will be good.

Doesn't it already? I can't read what the function under the playlist in the WMP jump list does though.

This does not work at my computer. Could it be, that this feature is not available in the x64 build of MPC-HC??

It seems to work here with mpc-hc64.exe as well. Is MPC-HC associated to open any files on that computer? That might be required.

I think #559 would be a good change.

I have two computers with Windows 7 64 bits that is joined to an Active Directory domain, and the jump list does not work on these computers. The jump list does work on Windows 7 32 bits (this computer is not join to an Active Directory domain).

Please disregard the above message. It is a Windows problem. I reinstalled the OS on both computers and now the jump list is working.

  • Component changed from MPC_HC_GUI to Solved
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Looks like everything is solved. Reopen the ticket if you think something is missing.

  • Resolution fixed deleted
  • Status changed from closed to reopened
  • Type changed from Feature Request to Bug

It's broken on Windows 7 64bit for me. Both the 32bit and the 64bit build don't show any history in the taskbar jumplist.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from reopened to closed

And what do you know, I forgot I had turned off the option in Windows...
