#3195 closed Feature Request (fixed)

Additional External Subtitle File-naming Formats

Description

Hi

I'm kiwijunglist one of the supermods at Team Mediaportal

Following formats are not supported
%movie.file.name%_english.srt
%movie.file.name% english.srt

Requesting MPC-HC to support the above formats, in particular the underscore format, as this format is not uncommon for downloaded bluray rips with external subtitles.

Apologies in advance if this is a duplicate ticket, I did a search and couldn't find a similar request.

Regards
Kiwi

I have addressed your request in this commit. This isn't in the master tree yet, I still need the approval of the other developers for the addition of _ and I'm myself not really sure if the space should be a supported separator.

In 8c16873c8e6af244bed48e0ca446ec51e033c01f:

Rewritten code for auto-load subtitles and support for '_' as a separator.

Being a video file named video.ext, video_whatever.srt will now be auto-loaded.

This commit fixes #3195.
