Problem with .mkv and .avi
|Reported by:||zoulincho||Owned by:|
Recently I tried to burn a dvd with an .mkv and an .srt file. The .srt file is in Greek UTF-8 code.
The result was unsuccessful since the subtitles appeared like Chinese when I tried to see it.
Searching I found the “MKVToolNix” program which can embed the subtitles in the film.
After I use it I tried to see the film on my PC using the “Media Player Classic”. Unfortunately there wasn’t any sound. I tried to find out what was wrong by “grubbing about” the MPC settings. Now the result is the following:
- When I am trying to see an .mkv file with separate .srt subtitles I have no sound except a chik….chik…chik noise and the film is running a little bit faster.
- When I am trying to see an .avi file with a separate .srt file I have a full screen but the frame of the film (the picture) is not full screen and the rest around the frame is black.
When I am trying to see the film with the VLC program everything is OK.
Please does anybody could help me to overcome the problem?
Thanking in advance
